What's New

🔐 Self-Signed Certificate Support

Astrion Remote now supports self-signed certificates for secure local connections. This is especially important for users who run self-signed certificates rather than purchasing certificates from a public CA.

🔒 WebSocket TLS Authentication

All WebSocket connections are now authenticated and encrypted with TLS. This ensures:

  • Credentials cannot be intercepted on the local network
  • Server identity is verified using certificates
  • Protection against man-in-the-middle attacks

🎤 HA Voice HTTPS Fix

Fixed HTTPS support for Home Assistant Voice pipelines. Users with HTTPS-enabled Home Assistant setups can now use voice commands through Astrion without connection errors.

🧩 Scene + Script Cards

Expanded card system to support both scenes and scripts as automation triggers:

  • Scene cards — Trigger Home Assistant scenes with a single tap
  • Script cards — Trigger custom scripts for complex automations
  • TV Card Script Binding — Bind scripts directly to TV cards

🔋 Charging Optimization

Improved charging management to extend battery health and overall longevity of the Astrion Remote.

✅ This release marks a significant milestone in Astrion's security posture, making the remote suitable for enterprise and production environments where secure communication is non-negotiable.

Compatibility

  • Home Assistant — HTTPS/HTTPS with TLS
