June 27, 2026 — Astrion Remote V1.3.0 is officially released. This update fundamentally redefines the relationship between your remote control and your smart home — dashboard navigation and page changes can now trigger Home Assistant automations.

In addition, V1.3.0 brings Android TV independent power control, smart remote entity detection, AC compatibility improvements, and full English localization — making Astrion more powerful and accessible than ever.

Automation: A New Paradigm

With V1.3.0, Astrion Remote supports dashboard navigation as automation triggers. This means:

  • Switching to the "Movie" dashboard can automatically dim the lights, lower the blinds, and turn on the projector
  • Switching to the "Music" dashboard can launch your media player and set the volume
  • Swipe gestures and page changes can trigger Home Assistant scenes

This blurs the line between a remote control and a smart home controller — every interaction with the Astrion interface can now be part of a larger automation.

Scene / Script / Automation Configuration

V1.3.0 supports using Astrion Remote in Scenes, Scripts, and Automations:

  • Scenes: Select Astrion Remote → choose Action → select target screen → configure linked entities
  • Scripts: In Device picker select Astrion Remote → choose Action or Event → pick target page
  • Automations: Trigger with Astrion Remote → select Action (transition) or Event (result) → configure actions

💡 Tip: When configuring an automation to turn on a TV upon entering the TV dashboard, avoid using IR power‑on — otherwise leaving and re‑entering will trigger another toggle.

Android TV: Reliable Power Control

V1.3.0 introduces a smarter approach to Android TV power management. Many Android TV devices have inconsistent power behavior. V1.3.0 now supports:

  • Single‑command mode — for devices with reliable toggle
  • Auto‑toggle mode — alternates between On and Off commands for devices that need it

This was driven by community feedback, particularly around Shield TV devices where power behavior varied by model.

How to Update

  1. Open the Astrion Launcher
