Module Not Detected

CoreBAR doesn't recognize an attached module.

Module Not Recognized by CoreBAR

Solved

You've attached a module via QuantumLink™, but CoreBAR doesn't show it in the interface. The module may appear to have power but isn't functional.

Solution

  • Check the magnetic connection: Modules should snap firmly into place. You should hear a click
  • Reattach the module: Detach and reattach it to ensure a clean connection
  • Check for debris: Clean the pogo pins on both CoreBAR and the module with a soft, dry cloth
  • Check the orientation: Make sure the module is oriented correctly — the pogo pins should align with the contacts
  • Check the module limit: CoreBAR supports up to 15 modules total (including up to 3 VivoCubes)
  • Restart CoreBAR: Sometimes a simple power cycle resolves detection issues
  • Check Ultra Workspace: In Ultra Workspace, go to Modules and click "Add" to see if the module appears
Note: When a module is first attached, CoreBAR should show a notification. If you don't see this, the module isn't being detected at the hardware level. Check the physical connection first.

Magnetic Connection Loose

Modules don't stay firmly attached to CoreBAR.

Magnetic Connection Feels Loose

Solved

Modules don't snap into place securely, or they fall off easily. The magnetic connection feels weaker than expected.

Solution

  • Check the pogo pins: Inspect both CoreBAR and module contacts for any debris or damage
  • Clean the contacts: Use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the pogo pins and magnetic contacts
  • Check module alignment: Make sure the module is aligned correctly with the magnetic guides on CoreBAR
  • Check for magnetic obstruction: Keep the module away from other magnetic objects that could interfere
  • Try a different module: If other modules attach securely, the issue may be with the specific module
  • Check for physical damage: Inspect both CoreBAR and module for any visible damage
Tip: The QuantumLink™ connection uses N52 magnets. They are strong but can be weakened by physical damage or debris. Always store modules in a clean, dry environment.

LED Indicator Flashing

Module's LED indicator is flashing or behaving abnormally.

💡

Module Indicator Light Flashing Abnormally

Solved

The LED indicator on your module is flashing in an unusual pattern, or it's not responding to inputs as expected.

Solution

  • Check the LED pattern: A slow, steady flash typically indicates normal operation. Fast flashing may indicate an error condition
  • Check power delivery: If you have more than 3 modules attached, use the DC 12V power adapter for stable power
  • Check module configuration: In Ultra Workspace, verify the module is properly configured
  • Check for firmware updates: Some modules may require a firmware update via Ultra Workspace
  • Restart CoreBAR: A power cycle can reset the module's LED state
  • Reattach the module: Detach and reattach the module to reset its internal state
Note: Different modules have different LED behaviors. Check the specific module's manual for details on LED patterns and what they indicate.
